Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant 0.9 for the Night Shift at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Illinois. The role supports the RN with daily patient care, including bathing, feeding, and routine tasks, with documentation in the EMR.

Responsibilities include rounds, admissions/discharges, specimen collection, and equipment/room readiness. Requires HS diploma or GED; BLS to be obtained within 45 days. This is a full-time, 36-hour week position with benefits.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills and ability to document data accurately.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Organization and prioritization abilities in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care (bathing, feeding, hygiene).
• Record vital signs, intake/output, and daily weights in EMR.
• Perform patient rounding and communicate observations to RN.
• Support admission, transfer and discharge processes.
• Collect specimens and perform basic point-of-care tests as directed.
