Job summary

Advocate Health in Park Ridge, IL is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the 0.5 Day Shift in the Nursing Float Pool office. This part-time role involves assisting RNs with daily patient care, measuring vitals, documenting in EMR, and supporting patient transfers.

Education: high school or GED; licensure includes Nurse Aide on state registry and BLS. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, with potential for growth within a major health system.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Graduate or GED/HSED.
• Nurse Aide in good standing with State Registry.
• BLS certification within 45 days or as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, activity orders and ambulation.
• Measure and document blood pressures, TPR, I&O, daily weights in EMR.
• Perform rounding, observe patient conditions and communicate with RN.
• Support admissions, transfers and discharges with room setup and supplies.
• Transport and position patients and assist with nutrition and skin care.
