Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Nursing Aide for the 34102 Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital - Nursing Float Pool. This part-time role offers 24 hours per week with night shifts, weekends and holidays, and requires responsiveness to patient needs.

Responsibilities include assisting the RN with daily care, taking vitals, documenting in EMR, preparing rooms, and supporting admissions, transfers and discharges. The position requires high school graduate or GED and BLS certification; lifting up to 50 lbs

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care (bathing, hygiene, feeding, ambulation).
• Document vitals and patient data in EMR.
• Support admissions, transfers and discharges under RN supervision.
• Perform rounds and communicate patient needs to RN.
• Transport and reposition patients safely.
• Maintain stock and cleanliness of nursing area.
