Job summary

Advocate Condell Medical Center is seeking a Nursing Aide to support the Float Pool, working full-time night shifts (6:30 pm–7:00 am) with rotating weekends/holidays. The role involves hands-on patient care under RN supervision, charting in EMR, and maintaining equipment and supplies in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Requires a high school diploma or GED, CNA in good standing, and BLS within 45 days. Night shifts include three 12-hour periods per week with rotating weekends; compensation ranges

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Basic computer skills required.
Excellent oral and written communication needed.
Strong organizational skills and ability to set priorities.

Responsibilities

Assists RN with daily patient care including bathing, feeding, and mobility.
Measures and documents vitals, intake/output, daily weights, and other data in EMR.
Performs rounding under RN direction and communicates observations to the RN.
Participates in admission, transfer, and discharge processes with room setup and orientation.
Ensures patient call lights are answered promptly and manages patient belongings.
Maintains nursing area stock, cleans equipment, and assists with patient transfers.
