Advocate Health’s Nursing Float Pool is seeking a dedicated Nursing Assistant to support RNs in daily patient care, documentation, and flow of admissions, transfers, and discharges. The role requires adherence to infection prevention, patient safety, and accurate charting in the EMR.

Full-time, 40-hour weeks, dayshift coverage from 7a to 7p, with comprehensive benefits. Responsibilities include vital signs, specimen collection, and assisting with meals, mobility, and skin care.

Qualifikationen

• Education: High School Diploma or GED/HSED; maintain annual hospital-based certifications.
• Experience: No experience required.

Aufgaben

• Assist RN with daily patient care (bathing, hygiene, feeding, mobility).
• Document vital signs, intake/output, weights in EMR.
• Support admission, transfer, and discharge processes under RN supervision.
• Perform rounds, monitor patient needs and communicate with RN promptly.
• Collect urine, stool, and sputum specimens and perform point-of-care testing as directed.
• Maintain nursing area stock and cleanliness; assist with equipment and supplies.
