Job summary

Advocate Health is hiring a part-time Nursing Assistant for the Good Shepherd Hospital Nursing Float Pool in Barrington, IL. 24 hours per week with night shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.

You will support RNs with basic patient care, perform routine assessments, and help with transfers and documentation in the EMR. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED/HSED and Nurse Aide certification, with BLS/CPR to be obtained within 45 days.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Graduate or equivalent (GED/HSED).
• Licensure: Nurse Aide in good standing; CPR/BLS certifications to be obtained if required.
• Strong communication, organization, and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care and activities.
• Record vital signs and measurements; document in EMR.
• Perform rounding, patient transfers, and observe patient needs.
• Participate in admission, transfer and discharge with RN supervision.
• Help maintain supplies, stock, and cleanliness of nursing areas.
