Job summary

Compassus is seeking a Nurse Practitioner - PPV to join our team, providing palliative and hospice care across locations as needed. You will assess patients, educate families, manage symptoms, and collaborate with the Medical Director and IDT.

This role requires a Master’s in Nursing, NP licensure, NP certification, and the ability to travel and flex schedule. We offer competitive pay, benefits, and a culture of compassion and excellence.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing required.
• Active and unencumbered NP license in state of employment required.
• Certified as a Nurse Practitioner in Adult, Family, Acute, or Geriatric required.
• Active NPI number.
• Board Certification in Hospice and Palliative Care is preferred, but not required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule; travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and emergency assessments and recertifications.
• Records observations, treatments, and other pertinent information.
• Collaborates with Medical Director, Attending Physician, DCS and IDT.
• Educates patients and caregivers on care, disease process, and symptom control.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Engages in supervision of trainees and participates in professional activities.
