Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Nurse Manager to lead the Medical Management & Transition Team. This role directs virtual-based transitional care programs, ensures safe, effective, and patient-centered care, and oversees operations, quality outcomes, staff performance, and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has a BSN and state licensure with at least four years in a clinical setting and supervisory experience; CPR/NRP certifications are required, with BS/MS preferred.

Qualifications

• BSN is required; may complete in next 2 years (enrolled if possible).
• Current State Board of Nursing licensure in the applicable state.
• Four years of clinical experience; includes management, supervision, teaching, performance improvement, and budgeting.
• CPR and NRP certifications are required.
• All licensed staff must pass a medication and math competency test before administering meds.
• BS/MS preferred.
• Two years of supervisory or management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational, clinical, and strategic leadership for virtual-based transitional care programs.
• Ensure safe, effective, patient-centered care delivery; oversee daily operations, quality outcomes, staff performance, and regulatory compliance.
• Foster interdisciplinary collaboration; ensure timely follow-up and care coordination; advance population health strategies.
• Lead the Mercy Medical Management & Transition Team to shape the future of virtual care.
