Job summary

Intermountain Health seeks an onsite Nursing Professional Development (NPD) Practitioner to guide caregivers through orientation and ongoing learning using adult education principles.

Responsibilities include learning facilitation, coaching, and promoting evidence-based nursing practice across care settings, with travel to various locations as needed. Requires BSN and RN licensure, BLS, and experience in staff development. 40 scheduled hours weekly and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution (degree verification required).
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for healthcare providers.
• Demonstrated experience in adult or staff development.
• Demonstrated nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Learning Facilitator: Serve as resource, consultant, and mentor to caregivers and preceptors, promoting self-reliance and teamwork.
• Change Agent: Collaborate across the organization to identify learning needs and promote evidence-based practices.
• Mentor: Provide coaching to preceptors and caregivers for growth and development.
• Leader: Facilitate interprofessional learning and advancements in nursing and healthcare.
• Champion for Inquiry: Foster creation of new knowledge and evidence-based practice.
