Job summary

Enercon Services, Inc. seeks a Pipe Stress Engineer to join our Nuclear Services Group. The role involves preparing pipe stress analyses and supporting design for process and utility piping on nuclear projects, with location options including Baton Rouge, LA and other U.S.

offices. You will analyze piping flexibility (static and dynamic), address sustained, thermal, and transient conditions, and produce engineering documentation while coordinating with Civil/Structural teams to ensure safety and

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the design of mechanical piping systems and pipe stress analysis.
  • Experience with AutoPIPE, ME 101, PIPESTRESS.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to be an individual contributor, work effectively in teams, and mentor junior engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Pipe Stress Analysis & Pipe Support Design: prepare documentation for process and utility piping systems for nuclear and non-nuclear projects; perform static and dynamic piping flexibility analyses.
  • Engineering Documentation & Analysis: produce engineering documents, calculations, and evaluations per codes and client procedures.
  • Regulatory Compliance & Technical Standards: maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry codes and safety practices.
  • Quality Assurance & Peer Review: provide peer reviews of engineering designs and documents.
  • Client Relations & Interdisciplinary Collaboration: collaborate with clients and other disciplines to ensure design compatibility.
