Job summary

WellStar is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (PRN) to join our imaging team. The role involves providing safe, age-appropriate care and performing NM exams per department procedures, while independently operating imaging equipment and maintaining high-quality diagnostic studies.

The ideal candidate has an Associate degree in Radiologic Technology, ARRT/Nuclear certification, and at least 1 year of clinical experience with BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Associate Radiologic Technology degree required.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical patient care experience.
• ARRT Nuclear Technology or Cert Nuclear Med Tech required.
• BLS Certification (Instructor preferred).

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper patient identification and procedure readiness.
• Obtain clinical history and assess contraindications.
• Operate NM equipment and maintain image quality.
• Follow preprocedural verification and Time Out processes.
• Provide patient care and comfort, and respond to emergencies.
