Job summary

WellStar is seeking a Nuclear Medicine technologist to assist with providing safe, patient-centered imaging services. The role requires setting up equipment, positioning patients, and performing a variety of procedures per department guidelines.

The position demands at least 1 year of clinical experience, ARRT/Nuclear certs, and BLS certification. This is a PRN role with opportunities for up to 40 hours per week and access to education and career progression programs.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Radiologic Technology is required.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical patient care experience; nuclear medicine experience preferred.
• ARRT Nuclear Technology or Cert Nuclear Med Tech; BLS Instructor certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify clinician orders and obtain complete patient history.
• Safely administer radiopharmaceuticals and monitor patient status.
• Ensure correct patient identification and proper use of right/left markers.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images and review for radiologist approval.
• Maintain department equipment, cleanliness and supply restocking.
