Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a PRN position to deliver safe, age-appropriate imaging and diagnostic studies. The technologist will operate imaging equipment and ensure high-quality results while following department procedures.

The role requires ARRT Nuclear Technology or Cert Nuclear Med Tech and an Associate in Radiologic Technology, with a minimum of one year of clinical experience. BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a clinical setting caring for patients.
• Minimum 1 year of Nuclear medicine experience is preferred.
• ARRT Nuclear Technology or Cert Nuclear Med Tech required upon hire.
• BLS certification required or Instructor preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adjust technique to optimize image quality and maintain diagnostic standards.
• Verify proper clinician order and obtain complete clinical history prior to procedures.
• Prepare, position and transport patients; set up imaging equipment and ensure safety.
• Maintain infection control and clean, disinfect and calibrate equipment as required.
• Assist other modalities and support team with procedures and exams.
• Restock supplies and ensure department readiness; document and report issues promptly.
