Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging with emphasis on safety and quality. You will set up equipment, position patients, and ensure proper patient identification and order accuracy while delivering compassionate care.

The role requires ARRT Nuclear Technology or CNMT certification and a minimum of one year of clinical experience; BLS certification is also required, with the possibility of up to 40 hours per week in a PRN capacity.

Qualifications

• Associates Radiologic Technology degree required.
• 1 year clinical experience required; 1 year Nuclear Medicine experience preferred.
• ARRT Nuclear Technology or CNMT certification; BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Adjust technique to obtain the best study and maintain image quality.
• Operate NM equipment and position patients for procedures.
• Verify patient identity and clinician orders prior to procedures.
• Restock supplies and maintain NM department for cleanliness and efficiency.
• Communicate with patients and families, addressing questions and concerns.
