Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a PRN position. The role involves assisting with safe, age-appropriate patient care and performing exams as protocols require.

You will set up NM equipment, position patients, and ensure high-quality diagnostic studies. Candidates should have an Associates in Radiologic Technology, 1 year of clinical experience, and ARRT Nuclear Technology or Cert Nuclear Med Tech certification with BLS.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Radiologic Technology required.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical patient care experience required.
• ARRT Nuclear Technology or Cert Nuclear Med Tech certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Adjust technique to optimize image quality while ensuring patient comfort.
• Operate NM equipment and prepare patient for procedures.
• Verify orders and patient identity before procedures; ensure privacy and safety.
• Support emergency care and restock life-support equipment as needed.
• Document procedures and ensure proper completion of RIS/PACS workflows.
• Collaborate with radiology staff to maintain quality and safety standards.
