Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a Nuclear Medicine technologist to provide safe, age-appropriate care by performing department exams with correct technique and quality imaging. You will set up equipment, position patients for procedures and independently manage job functions per departmental standards.

The role emphasizes imaging quality, patient safety, and efficient workflow within a busy NM department, with on-site responsibilities and ongoing professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical patient care experience; Nuclear medicine experience preferred.
• ARRT Nuclear Technologist or certified Nuclear Medicine Tech, AS BLS instructor preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adjust technique to optimize image quality while ensuring patient safety.
• Obtain complete clinical history, verify orders, and ensure proper patient identification.
• Prepare and position patients and equipment for NM procedures and document results.
• Maintain equipment and reports in RIS/PACS and assist radiologists as needed.
