Atlantic Health Newton Medical Center is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to prepare and render radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic and therapeutic studies. You will work with scanners and scintillation cameras, calibrate equipment, and ensure radiation safety compliance.

The role requires an AMA approved Nuclear Medicine program graduate and current NJDEP nuclear medicine license, plus ARRT/NMTCB/CAMRT certification eligibility or existing registration.

Formación

• HS Diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of AMA approved school of Nuclear Medicine required
• Current license with the NJDEP in nuclear medicine
• Registration or certification by ARRT, NMTCB, or CAMRT
• Employment history of working in an office- based setting is preferred LEAD - Specific Certification related to position or Associates Degree/Technical Degree in related field.

Responsabilidades

• Mixes stock solutions of radiopharmaceutical materials, calculates doses, and administers doses under direction of physician.
• Calibrates equipment.
• Performs diagnostic studies on patients using scanners or scintillation cameras to produce images.
• Measures radioactivity with Geiger counters, scalers, and scintillation detectors.
• Administers therapeutic doses of radiopharmaceuticals under physician direction.
• Follows radiation safety techniques in use and disposal of radioactive materials.
• Other duties as assigned
