Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent experience.
• Graduate of AMA approved school of Nuclear Medicine required
• All licenses and certifications needed to fulfill the duties required of a Technician at the state/national level.

Responsibilities

• Mixes stock solutions of radiopharmaceutical materials, calculates doses, and administers doses, under direction of physician.
• Calibrates equipment.
• Performs diagnostic studies on patients using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation and produce images.
• Measures radioactivity using Geiger counters, scalers, and scintillation detectors.
• Administers therapeutic doses of radiopharmaceuticals under physician direction.
• Maintains radiation safety techniques in use and disposal of radioactive materials.
• Other duties as assigned
