Qualifications

• Graduate of AMA approved school of Nuclear Medicine.
• State or national licenses/certifications required.
• NJDEP nuclear medicine license as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Mixes stock solutions, calculates and administers doses under physician direction.
• Calibrates equipment used in radiopharmaceutical procedures.
• Performs diagnostic studies using scanners to image organs.
• Measures radioactivity with Geiger counters and detectors.
• Administers therapeutic doses under physician supervision.
• Follows radiation safety procedures and waste disposal guidelines.
