Job summary
RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a qualified full-time Nuclear Medicine Technologist for Somerville, NJ. The role includes day shifts, 40 hours per week, with compensation based on experience and NJ regulations.
Requirements include a graduate from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program, NJ state license, ARRT/NMTCBLS certification, and two years of hospital technologist experience. PET experience is a plus, and a $12,000 sign-on bonus may apply to external applicants.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
- Two years hospital experience as a staff technologist.
- PET experience a plus.
- Must possess a current NJ State license, ARRT and/or NMTCB LS certification.
Responsibilities
- Calibrates the dose calibrator and QC gamma cameras per department protocols.
- Identifies patients before starting procedures and explains wait times.
- Obtains best possible images using prescribed parameters and techniques.
- Assists nuclear physician with imaging procedures and special imaging when needed.
- Maintains department cleanliness and adheres to regulatory standards.
