Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health in Somerville, NJ is seeking a qualified full-time Nuclear Medicine Technologist for the Day shift. The role involves performing nuclear medicine procedures, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining high-quality imaging in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Applicants must have graduated from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program, hold a NJ State license with ARRT/NMTCB certification, and BLS certification. A $12,000 sign-on bonus is offered for external applicants.

Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
Preferred PET experience and two years hospital experience as a staff technologist.
NJ State license, ARRT and/or NMTCB required; BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

Performs hot lab functions and handles radiopharmaceuticals per rules.
Calibrates dose calibrator and performs QC on gamma cameras.
Identifies patients and explains procedures to ensure comfort.
Obtains high-quality images using appropriate technical parameters.
Ensures tests are accurate and ready for physician review.
Assists nuclear physician with imaging procedures and maintains department cleanliness.
Works overtime when needed and performs other duties as assigned.
