RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a full-time Nuclear Medicine Technologist for the Somerville, NJ area. Day shift, 40 hours per week, with a strong emphasis on quality imaging and patient care.

Candidates must hold state licensure and ARRT/NMTCBBLS certification, with PET experience a plus and two years hospital experience preferred. The role includes performing hot lab tasks, QC procedures, and assisting in advanced imaging procedures within a supportive department.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• NJ state license and ARRT/NMTCBBLS certification required.
• Two years hospital experience as a staff technologist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs hot lab duties per vendor, departmental, and DEP rules.
• Calibrates dose calibrator and performs QC on gamma cameras.
• Identifies IP and OP patients before procedures.
• Explains procedures to patients including wait times.
• Obtains best images using prescribed parameters.
• Ensures tests are valid and results are accurate before release.
