Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a qualified full-time Nuclear Medicine Technologist for Somerville, NJ. The role supports the Nuclear Medicine department with day shifts, 40 hours per week, and requires NJ licensure with ARRT/NMTCB credentials and BLS certification.

The position offers a $12,000 sign-on bonus for external applicants, competitive hourly pay, and comprehensive benefits. PET experience and hospital technologist experience are preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

Must graduate from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
PET Experience a Plus.
Two years hospital experience as a staff technologist (preferred).
Must possess a current NJ State license, ARRT and/or NMTCB.
BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

Performs all hot lab functions following vendor, departmental and DEP rules.
Calibrates dose calibrator and performs QC on gamma cameras per protocols.
Identifies patients (IP and OP) before procedures.
Explains procedures to patients, including wait times, ensuring comfort.
Obtains best images using prescribed parameters and techniques.
Assists in implementation of special imaging procedures with a nuclear physician.
Maintains department in a neat and clean condition.
