Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a qualified full-time Nuclear Medicine Technologist for the Somerville/Somerset area in New Jersey. This role requires ARRT/NMTCBBLS certification, NJ licensure, and an accredited Nuclear Medicine Tech program graduate, with PET experience a plus.

Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
Two years hospital experience as a staff technologist.
Must possess a current NJ State license, ARRT and/or NMTCBBLS certification.

Responsibilities

Performs hot lab functions and handling of radiopharmaceuticals per rules and regulations.
Calibrates dose calibrator and performs QC on gamma cameras as per protocols.
Identifies patients and explains procedures to ensure comfort and understanding.
Obtains quality images with correct parameters and ensures test results are accurate.
Assists nuclear physician with imaging procedures and maintains department cleanliness.
Works overtime when needed and completes special assignments from supervisor.
