Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a qualified Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a full-time position in Somerville, NJ. The role requires NJ license, ARRT/NMTCBLS certification, and two years of hospital experience.

Day shift, 40 hours per week, with a sign-on bonus for external applicants. Responsibilities include performing hot lab functions, gamma camera QC, and patient imaging while maintaining safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
• PET experience preferred
• Two years hospital experience as a staff technologist

Responsibilities

• Performs hot lab functions for radio-pharmaceuticals following vendor, departmental and DEP rules
• Calibrates dose calibrator and performs QC on gamma cameras
• Identifies patients prior to procedures and explains the process to ensure comfort
• Obtains best images using prescribed parameters and ensures test accuracy before release
• Assists nuclear physician with imaging procedures and maintains a clean department
• Performs other duties and accepts assignments as needed
