Job summary

Medical City Heart & Spine Hospitals is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technician for a full-time role, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The technician works under a Nuclear Medicine Physician, applying isotopes for radiographic diagnosis and ensuring radiation safety while performing both inpatient and outpatient procedures.

Ideal candidates hold a CAHEA-accredited Nuclear Medicine program, Texas licensure (MTR), ARRT NM or NMTCB certification, and BLS; ACLS within 6 months may be

Qualifications

• Graduate of CAHEA accredited school of Nuclear Medicine.
• MTR State of Texas licensure required.
• ARRT (NM) or NMTCB certification required.
• NMTCB PET certification preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS provider.
• ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Under the guidance of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, perform radiographic procedures including Nuclear Medicine/PET tech tasks.
• Apply isotopes for radiographic diagnosis with independent judgment and initiative.
• Perform in-patient and out-patient tests; use Nuclear Medicine cameras and varied equipment; administer radiopharmaceuticals as outlined.
• Demonstrate safety in radiation practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
