Job summary

Medical City Heart & Spine Hospitals seeks a Nuclear Medicine Technician to join our team. This full-time role operates Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, under the supervision of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, performing radiographic and nuclear medicine procedures to support diagnostic care.

Ideal candidates hold a CAHEA-accredited Nuclear Medicine education, Texas MTR license, ARRT/NM or NMTCB certification, and BLS; ACLS within 6 months is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CAHEA accredited school of Nuclear Medicine preferred.
• MTR State of Texas license.
• ARRT (NM) or NMTCB certification.
• NMTCB PET certification preferred.
• Current BLS provider (AHA or Red Cross).
• ACLS within 6 months of hire/transfer.

Responsibilities

• Under the guidance of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, the Nuclear Medicine/P.E.T Technologist accomplishes one or a combination of several general radiographic procedures.
• Performs at a technical level requiring a high degree of independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative to apply isotopes for radiographic diagnosis.
• Performs tests in-patients and out-patients; utilizes a variety of Nuclear Medicine cameras and varied equipment; administers pharmaceuticals and radiopharmaceuticals as outlined in Nuclear Medicine Scope of Practice.
• Demonstrates industry in radiation safety.
• Other duties as assigned.

CAHEA accredited school of Nuclear Medicine

MTR Texas license

ARRT NM or NMTCB certification

NMTCB PET certification

BLS provider (AHA/Red Cross)

ACLS certification within 6 months
