Job summary

Medical City Heart & Spine Hospitals is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technician for a full-time role, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM at our Texas campus. The candidate will perform nuclear medicine and PET procedures under physician guidance and uphold radiopharmaceutical safety standards.

Responsibilities include patient testing, equipment operation, and ensuring compliance with Nuclear Medicine scope of practice. Texas licensure and board certification are required or in progress.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CAHEA accredited school of Nuclear Medicine preferred.
• MTR State of Texas.
• ARRT (NM) or NMTCB certification.
• NMTCB PET certification preferred.
• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS provider.
• ACLS provider required within 6 months of hire or transfer date.

Responsibilities

• Under the guidance of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, the Nuclear Medicine/P.E.T Technologist accomplishes one or a combination of several general radiographic procedures.
• Performs at a technical level requiring a high degree of independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative to apply isotopes for radiographic diagnosis.
• Performs tests in-patients and out-patients; utilizes a variety of Nuclear Medicine cameras and varied equipment; administers pharmaceuticals and radiopharmaceuticals as outlined in Nuclear Medicine Scope of Practice.
• Demonstrates industry in radiation safety.
• Other duties as assigned
