Job summary

Medical City Heart and Spine Hospitals in Texas is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technician to perform radiographic and PET procedures under the supervision of a Nuclear Medicine Physician. You will administer radiopharmaceuticals, operate imaging cameras, and uphold radiation safety.

This full-time, day-shift role runs Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Benefits include medical, dental and vision coverage, a 401(k) with company match, tuition assistance and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CAHEA accredited school of Nuclear Medicine.
• MTR State of Texas license.
• ARRT (NM) or NMTCB certification.
• NMTCB PET certification preferred.
• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS provider.
• ACLS provider required within 6 months of hire or transfer date.

Responsibilities

• Under the guidance of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, the Nuclear Medicine/P.E.T Technologist performs general radiographic procedures.
• Performs at a technical level requiring independent judgment to apply isotopes for radiographic diagnosis.
• Performs tests in-patients and out-patients; operates Nuclear Medicine cameras and varied equipment; administers radiopharmaceuticals as outlined in practice.
• Demonstrates commitment to radiation safety.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education

CAHEA accredited Nuclear Medicine program

MTR State of Texas

ARRT (NM) or NMTCB certification

NMTCB PET certification (preferred)

BLS provider (AHA or ARC)

ACLS within 6 months
