Job summary

Enercon Services, Inc. seeks a Mid-Level Ecologist to support nuclear environmental licensing nationwide from our Naperville, IL office. You will conduct environmental reviews, gather site data, and aid interactions with regulatory agencies and stakeholders.

You will also develop reports and present findings to diverse audiences. The role involves fieldwork and occasional travel, with a focus on regulatory compliance, NEPA/ESA analyses, and environmental protection measures for nuclear

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or related field.
3–5 years in environmental consulting, nuclear power, or related field.
Working knowledge of ESA, NEPA, MBTA, BGEPA, etc.
Experience with federal or state regulatory agencies.
Experience developing technical reports and environmental reviews.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with MS Word and MS Excel.
Travel 5% with fieldwork 3–4 days; office 95%.

Responsibilities

Conduct environmental reviews and impact assessments for nuclear facilities in accordance with NRC and NEPA guidelines.
Gather environmental data during site visits and prepare technical content for reports.
Develop and present complex environmental information to technical and non-technical audiences.
Support licensing applications and advise on environmental protection measures.
