Job summary

Enercon Services, Inc. is seeking a Mid-Level Ecologist to join our Nuclear Services Environmental Licensing Team. You will support regulatory interactions, gather data during site visits, and help lead environmental analyses for nuclear licensing projects nationwide.

This role offers fieldwork and the opportunity to develop reports that inform NRC reviews and NEPA compliance. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Ecology or Environmental Science and 3–5 years of relevant

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or related field
  • 3-5 years of environmental consulting or nuclear-related experience
  • Knowledge of ESA, NEPA, MBTA, BGEPA and related regulations
  • Experience working with federal/state regulatory agencies
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Proficiency with MS Word and MS Excel
  • Travel 5% of time; 3–4 day trips

Responsibilities

  • Conduct environmental reviews to assess impacts of nuclear facilities on terrestrial and aquatic resources; prepare environmental reports and biological assessments per NRC and NEPA; support licensing applications for NRC; stay current on regulations and best practices
  • Participate in site visits to gather environmental data and assess impacts; develop technical content for environmental reports and site feasibility assessments
  • Interact with regulatory agencies, stakeholders, and the public to address environmental concerns; prepare presentations and reports for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Assist in developing and implementing environmental protection measures; perform terrestrial, aquatic, and federally protected resource evaluations for reporting
