Job summary

Enercon Services, Inc. is seeking a Mid-Level Ecologist to support nuclear environmental licensing nationwide. You will conduct environmental reviews, gather site data, prepare reports, and interact with NRC and other agencies.

Occasional fieldwork and data collection will help ensure compliance with NEPA and related regulations. The role involves presenting complex environmental information, preparing environmental reports, and contributing to licensing applications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in environmental consulting, nuclear power, or related field.
  • Working knowledge of ESA, NEPA, MBTA, BGEPA, etc.
  • Experience with federal or state regulatory agencies.
  • Experience developing technical reports and regulatory reviews.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Word and MS Excel.
  • Ability to travel/fieldwork about 5% of the time (3–4 days trips).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct environmental reviews to assess potential impacts of nuclear facilities on terrestrial and aquatic resources.
  • Prepare environmental reports and biological assessments per NRC, NEPA, and guidelines.
  • Support licensing applications for NRC and stay current on regulations.
  • Gather environmental data during site visits and develop technical content for reports.
  • Interact with regulatory agencies, stakeholders, and public to address concerns.
  • Develop and present complex environmental information to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Assist in fieldwork and development of environmental protection measures.
