Job summary

ENERCON Services, Inc. seeks a Senior Ecologist to support nuclear environmental licensing nationwide. You will conduct environmental reviews, prepare reports, and engage with regulatory agencies and stakeholders. Expect fieldwork, data collection, and mentorship of junior staff.

Responsibilities include conducting impact assessments, developing technical content, and presenting findings to technical and non-technical audiences. Travel 5% and multi-location options are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in environmental consulting, nuclear power, or related field.
• Working knowledge of ESA, NEPA, MBTA, BGEPA, etc.
• Experience with federal or state regulatory agencies.
• Experience developing technical reports and supporting regulatory reviews.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency using MS Word and MS Excel.
• Ability to travel/work in the field 5% of the time, with 3–4 day trips.

Responsibilities

• Conduct environmental reviews of nuclear facilities impacts on resources.
• Prepare environmental reports and biological assessments per NRC and NEPA.
• Develop and present complex information for licensing applications.
• Participate in site visits to gather environmental data.
• Mentor junior staff and support proposals/qualification statements.
