Job summary

Join Sargent & Lundy LLC.’s Nuclear Power Group to digitize nuclear power plants, applying engineering expertise across electrical, computer, and mechanical disciplines. You will work on instrumentation and controls projects, using sensors, digital controllers, and complex systems to deliver high-quality outcomes.

You will also engage in mentoring, travel for design reviews, and field verifications, with a hybrid work schedule allowing remote work two days per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in engineering with strong coursework in analog and digital control systems, systems engineering, mechatronics, or robotics.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Must be bilingual in Spanish and English.

Responsibilities

• Work on a multi-discipline engineering team involved in nuclear power plant instrumentation and controls projects (electrical, computer, mechanical, control theory).
• Engage with electronic process sensors, digital controllers, network topology, touchscreen displays, pumps, valves, heat exchangers, turbines, and reactors.
• Prepare specifications for procurement of instrumentation and control equipment and perform engineering calculations.
• Participate in mentoring and on-the-job training to advance engineering skills.
• Travel to client/vendor offices for design reviews and to plant sites for coordination and field verification.
