Job summary

Newport News Shipbuilding, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, is seeking a Nuclear Foreman for the 2nd shift in Newport News, Virginia. You will supervise trades personnel, ensure compliance with drawings and procedures, and drive safe, productive work on complex naval fabrication projects.

The role requires leadership of semi-skilled and skilled trades, coordination of tasks, and ongoing training to improve quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree OR Apprentice Certification OR High School and 4 years combined manufacturing, shipbuilding, trades, military experience OR Associate Degree in a Trade/Technical and 3 years of relevant manufacturing, shipbuilding, trade and/or military experience
US Citizenship may be required for certain positions

Responsibilities

Supervises, assigns, coordinates and evaluates semi-skilled and skilled trades personnel according to their skill, experience and job knowledge.
Supervises and trains employees to improve quality and quantity of work performed.
Responsible for manufacturing, installation, operation, testing, and process operations that have a significant financial impact on the company's performance.
