Job summary

Safe Place for Youth in Los Angeles is seeking a Site Supervisor for the Nova Transitional Housing program to oversee operations at the Pico-Union site and lead a team of resident coordinators, support staff, and case managers, ensuring safety and well‑being for residents and staff.

You will coach and evaluate staff, assist with referrals, intakes, move‑ins and housing connections, maintain program logs and compliance, and collaborate with partners to deliver quality housing services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or lived experience considered.
• 3–4 years direct service experience with high-risk transitional age youth (TAY).
• 3–4 years experience accessing social services (homeless services, DCFS, probation, DPSS).
• Knowledge of Housing First, PYD, Authentic Youth Engagement, Motivational Interviewing, Harm Reduction, Trauma‑Informed Care.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day program operations ensuring a safe, clean environment for residents and staff.
• Supervise and develop a team of resident coordinators, support staff and case managers.
• Provide trauma‑informed guidance and crisis intervention, including after‑hours support and site emergencies when needed.
• Ensure policies and protocols align with contracts and best practices.
• Maintain logs, documentation, and timely HMIS reporting; monitor compliance and data integrity.
• Support intakes, move‑ins, discharges, and referrals, connecting residents to housing resources.
• Coordinate with internal meetings and partner organizations; participate in audits and reporting.
