Job summary

HDR Engineering is seeking a Transmission Line Project Manager to join our growing and nationally ranked Power Delivery team. This role focuses on managing transmission line projects of varying sizes, collaborating with design teams, and delivering successful outcomes for clients.

You will lead project teams, coordinate with multiple offices, and drive project scope, schedule, budget, and quality. HDR values an active employee-owned culture and strong client engagement across the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or mechanical engineering or related field.
• FE, PE license preferred; PMP acceptable in lieu.
• At least 2 years of project management experience.
• Ability to interact with various design teams and strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage Transmission Line projects of all sizes and complexities, domestically and potentially abroad.
• Mentor and supervise Project Engineers, EITs, Coordinators, Designers, and CAD staff as needed.
• Oversee scope, schedule, budget, quality control, and project closeout.
• Coordinate with client management and engage in business development activities in the region and beyond.
• Lead QA/QC per HDR’s QMS requirements to exceed client expectations.
• Represent HDR in marketing and proposal development for new opportunities.
