Job summary

HDR Engineering is seeking a Transmission Line Project Manager to join a national Power Delivery team. You will manage projects from scope through closeout, mentor engineers, and coordinate with multiple offices to deliver high‑quality, on‑time results.

You will engage with clients, lead QA/QC per HDR’s standards, and help develop new opportunities while navigating diverse regulatory environments across the western U.S. HDR supports employee ownership and inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil or mechanical engineering or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of related experience.
• Minimum 2 years of project management experience.
• Active participation in employee-owned culture and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Managing and leading projects and programs throughout the entire life cycle.
• Directing, mentoring, training, and supervising Project Engineers, EITs, Coordinators, Designers, CADD Technicians, and staff.
• Overseeing workload, schedule, quality, utilization, morale, and performance.
• Overseeing non-engineering components such as public engagement, permitting, right of way acquisition, and construction management.
• Leading QA/QC per HDR’s Quality Management Systems requirements.
• Supporting client management and business development activities in the region and beyond.
• Coordinating with leadership and Talent Acquisition to hire for growing needs.
• Ability to work across multiple offices to execute projects.
• Representing HDR in marketing and proposal development.
