Job summary

HDR is seeking a Transmission Line Project Manager to join our growing Power Delivery team. This role focuses on managing transmission line projects of various sizes, with opportunities to work domestically and abroad across multiple HDR locations.

The ideal candidate has a civil or mechanical engineering background, a minimum of two years in project management, and strong leadership and communication skills. PE/FE licenses are preferred or PMP in lieu of PE.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil or mechanical engineering or related field.
  • FE and PE license preferred; PMP in lieu of PE.
  • Minimum of 2 years of project management experience.
  • Ability to interact with design teams and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Managing and leading projects and programs throughout the life cycle.
  • Directing, mentoring, and supervising project engineers and staff.
  • Overseeing workload, schedule, quality, utilization, morale, and performance.
  • Overseeing non-engineering components such as public engagement and permitting.
  • Leading QA/QC per HDR quality management requirements.
  • Supporting client management and business development in the region.
