Job summary

Southland Industries seeks a Talent Acquisition Lead for North Texas to build a recruiting engine and manage a team of Recruiters across the North Texas divisions. You’ll partner with division leaders on workforce planning, metrics, and hiring strategy while ensuring a superior candidate experience.

You will also lead collaboration with centralized sourcing, mentor recruiters, and balance strategic and tactical hiring needs, with travel ~30%.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of hands-on experience in full-cycle recruitment and workforce planning.
• Demonstrated people leadership—directly managing, coaching, training and delivering with accountability.
• Preferred experience in engineering, construction, or building technology sectors.
• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Strong relationship and client-management skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Analytical ability to translate data into informed hiring decisions.

Responsibilities

• Set clear goals for each Recruiter, balance requisition assignments, and ensure filling of requisitions.
• Run regular one-on-ones and performance reviews against hiring goals.
• Operate as a player-coach, carrying critical requisitions during surges.
• Build relationships with senior division leaders and review hiring performance.
• Drive continuous improvement of the recruiting process and metrics.
• Lead partnership with centralized sourcing to grow candidate pipelines.
• Streamline workflows leveraging TA tech stack (CRM, ATS).
• Track and analyze hiring metrics to improve efficiency and outcomes.
• Collaborate with HRBPs, Compensation, and Onboarding on talent initiatives.
• Build cross-functional partnerships to support recruiting strategy.
• Develop standards and share best practices with peer TA Leads.
