Job summary

Stop & Shop in Colchester, CT seeks a motivated Perishable Manager to oversee Meat, Seafood, Deli, Florist, Produce, and Bake Shop operations, drive sales, and ensure top quality and safety.

You will develop and coach department teams, manage labor costs, maintain stock levels, and uphold store standards while delivering exceptional customer service. This role offers growth opportunities in a respected regional retailer with a strong community focus.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of supervisory or leadership experience, preferably in retail grocery.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field (preferred) or equivalent work experience.
• Strong ability to influence and communicate effectively across functions.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of Meat, Seafood, Deli, Florist, Produce, and Bake Shop.
• Ensure departments meet or exceed sales and profit targets.
• Maintain high standards of sanitation and safety and regulatory compliance.
• Direct, oversee, and evaluate training of all perishable department team members.
• Coach and provide feedback to improve department performance and control labor costs.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate stock management.
