Job summary

Stop & Shop in Cromwell, CT is seeking a Perishable Manager to oversee Meat, Seafood, Deli, Florist, Produce, and Bake Shop operations. You will drive sales targets, ensure safety and sanitation, and lead a diverse team to provide outstanding customer service.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of supervisory experience in grocery, with a preferred Bachelor's in Business Administration or Retail Management, or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of supervisory or leadership experience in retail grocery.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field preferred or equivalent years of work experience.
• Strong influencing and communication skills across functions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of Meat, Seafood, Deli, Florist, Produce, and Bake Shop.
• Ensure departments meet or exceed sales and profit targets.
• Maintain sanitation and safety standards per regulations.
• Direct training and development plans for perishable department staff.
• Monitor performance and support professional growth, diversity, and inclusion.
• Manage labor relations and resolve employee issues timely.
• Deliver best-in-class customer service and maintain well-stocked stores.
• Coach staff to improve operational efficiency and control labor costs.
• Oversee inventory levels and ensure accurate stock management.
