Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Network Technician to support DISA-provided GIG/DSN services at Hill AFB, Utah, in a 24/7 operations center. You will monitor, analyze, and resolve network faults, coordinate with service providers, and ensure rapid restoration of services in a DoD environment.

The role requires DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 certification, active SECRET clearance, and the ability to work around the clock. Strong knowledge of routers, switches, and DSN technologies is essential.

Qualifications

• Active security clearance (SECRET) and ability to obtain Top-Secret clearance.
• DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE or equivalent).
• High school diploma and 2–4 years of experience.
• Willingness to work in a 24/7 operation.
• Experience with alarm surveillance, fault management, LAN maintenance, performance management.
• Expertise in three or more: routers, switches, crypto devices, routing, DSN/DRSN, Video Services, CISCO, Juniper, MSPP, DWDM, Optical Switching.
• Knowledge of network topologies (transport and IP).

Responsibilities

• Create and update tickets using Remedy.
• Monitor network events in real time 24x7 across monitoring tools.
• Proactively analyze alarms and fault conditions for resolution.
• Identify failed network elements and troubleshoot to isolate causes.
• Coordinate fault corrections and service restoration with providers.
• Provide 24/7 sustainment support for outages and Tier 1/Tier 2 support.
• Maintain situational awareness and timely ticket updates.
