Job summary

Leidos is seeking a NOC Technician for the TRANSPORT / IP (TRIP) NOC at Hill AFB, UT, supporting the DISA DGOC and DISN services. The role focuses on incident ticketing, 24/7 monitoring, fault isolation, and coordination with service providers to restore networks and services.

Qualifications

• DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 certification is required by start date.
• Active Secret security clearance with ability to obtain Top-Secret clearance.
• Availability to work in a 24/7 operational environment.
• Experience in alarm surveillance, fault management, LAN/WAN maintenance, or performance management.
• Advanced knowledge in routers, switches, crypto devices, DSN/DRSN, Cisco/Juniper, MSPP, DWDM and related technologies.

Responsibilities

• Create, update, and manage incident tickets using ServiceNow/ITSM. Triage the ticket queue and guide tickets of concern.
• Monitor network events and failures 24/7/365 using various tools; analyze alarms and identify root causes.
• Notify contacts about incidents and provide timely situational awareness to leadership and teams.
• Support fault isolation and troubleshooting; test and diagnose issues with network elements and coordinate with providers.
• Restore networks and services to full operation; document changes in the CMDB; provide 24/7/365 support for outages.
• Assist in training Network controllers and evaluating SOPs and tools; contribute to future DISN operations.
• Demonstrate proficiency in DISN functions and provide advanced technical support to peers and leadership.
