Job summary

Prairie Consulting Services seeks a NOC Technician to support 24/7 network operations for critical telecom infrastructure in Allen, Texas. You will monitor networks, troubleshoot, and coordinate with field engineers to maintain SLA commitments.

The role requires solid IP networking, network monitoring, and incident response skills, with knowledge of VPN, BGP, MPLS, and SIP. ServiceNow experience and AWS surveillance familiarity are a plus.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of IP networking and protocols.
• Experience with network monitoring tools.
• 1+ year troubleshooting IP connectivity and hardware errors.
• Proficiency with VPN, BGP, MPLS, SIP.
• Ability to read network diagrams (Visio).
• Analytical with solid documentation skills.
• Ability to perform under pressure and respond quickly.
• Experience in Network Operations or Telecom.
• Certifications: Network+, CCNA. ITIL certs are a plus.
• Experience with AWS Cloud surveillance.
• NOC or call center experience 24/7 operations.
• Preferred: ServiceNow proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain computer networks and systems.
• Ensure stability of telecommunications infrastructure.
• Respond to network alerts and troubleshoot issues.
• Perform regular network performance checks.
• Coordinate with field technicians and engineers.
• Maintain records of outages and quality control.
• Execute incident response for remote/cloud operations.
• Manage ServiceNow Incident, Change, and Problem Management.
• Conduct remote network surveillance and event response.
• Triage and resolve incidents within SLA timelines.
• Collaborate with SMEs for complex troubleshooting.
• Provide customer-facing support via phone, email, and portal.
• Communicate with stakeholders during service-impacting events.
• Manage vendor tickets effectively.
