Job summary

Transaction Network Services seeks a Field Support Engineer to deliver on-site and remote IP/network support for Global IP Desk operations. The role focuses on maintaining stability of TCP/IP, VPN, and MPLS networks across the Financial Markets infrastructure with a strong emphasis on incident management and escalation with vendors.

You will troubleshoot complex routing, hardware, and protocol issues, open tickets with Cisco/Juniper TAC, and work in a 24x7 rotation to ensure high service levels

Qualifications

• TCP/IP, VPN, MPLS and routing knowledge (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, RIP, IS-IS).
• Hands-on configuration of Cisco, Arista and Juniper routers and switches.
• ITIL Certification.
• Experience with Microsoft Office software, communications software, and Visio.
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Experience with external customers and NOC environments.
• Financial Markets domain experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site and remote support for global TCP/IP, VPN and MPLS networks.
• Configure and troubleshoot Cisco, Arista, and Juniper routers/switches.
• Interface with Cisco/Juniper TAC for escalation.
• Lead second-level network trouble-shooting and incident management.
• Coordinate network maintenance and change management per policy.
• Provide after-hours on-call escalation as part of a rotation.
• Assist in project handover and readiness for NOC operations.
• Ensure incidents are resolved with minimal service impact.
