Job summary

AEP is seeking a seasoned leader to head its 24x7 Network Operations Center, ensuring reliable operation and rapid restoration of critical network and telecommunications infrastructure. This role drives the transformation from reactive alerting to a proactive, intelligence-driven operating model.

You will identify failure types, monitor indicators, and implement repeatable troubleshooting and resolution processes while building a high-performing, around-the-clock team. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field with progressive technical experience
• Experience leading 24x7 operational teams or shift-based organizations
• Strong knowledge of network technologies, monitoring platforms, and event management systems

Responsibilities

• Lead 24x7 Network Operations Center operations to ensure reliability and rapid restoration
• Transform operations from reactive to proactive, intelligence-driven model
• Identify failure types and monitor indicators to implement repeatable troubleshooting
• Build, develop and lead a high-performing around-the-clock team
• Oversee event correlation, escalation, and continuous process improvement
• Partner with engineering and operations to reduce customer impact and improve service reliability
• Improve MTTD and MTTR; support resilience and modernization initiatives
