Job summary

Velocity MSC seeks an experienced NOC Technical Manager to provide technical leadership and operational oversight for its 24/7/365 Network Operations Center. You will oversee monitoring, troubleshooting, escalation of network events, and ensure high availability and customer satisfaction.

The role partners with NOC Leadership, NOC Engineering, Network Engineering and Service Delivery to drive incident response, process improvements, and performance metrics across the NOC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS/Networking or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in Network Operations, NOC or IT Ops environments.
• 3+ years technical leadership or management in a NOC setting.
• Strong knowledge of network monitoring, troubleshooting and incident management.
• Experience with SLAs, SOPs, escalation procedures, and metrics.
• Ability to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and oversight for the 24/7/365 NOC.
• Oversee monitoring, troubleshooting, and escalation of network events.
• Lead Tier 2 NOC Engineers, Supervisors, and escalation staff.
• Serve as escalation point for complex incidents and issues.
• Ensure adherence to procedures, workflows, and escalation paths.
• Coordinate cross-functional response during major incidents and outages.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, guides, and knowledge-base documentation.
• Monitor KPIs, SLAs, and service quality; report to leadership.
