Job summary

Dobson Fiber is seeking a Telecommunications NOC Supervisor to oversee the Network Operations Center, ensuring reliable voice, data, wireless, and fiber services. You will supervise NOC technicians, coordinate incident response, and manage escalations to maintain service availability.

The role requires leadership in a 24/7 environment, strong communication, and experience with change control and incident management. This position is based in a professional setting with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Requires strong understanding of IP networking, routing, switching, fiber optics, wireless, VoIP and transport technologies.
• Experience with NOC tools such as monitoring platforms and ticketing systems.
• Ability to interpret alarms, logs and network diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the NOC team to assess events, assign tasks, manage schedules and coach staff.
• Oversee real-time network monitoring, alarms, and performance metrics.
• Manage incident responses to outages and degradations to maintain customer experience.
• Provide troubleshooting oversight for fiber, wireless, IP, VoIP, and transport systems.
• Coordinate with engineering, field operations, vendors, and carriers for escalations.
• Manage vendor escalations and event response coordination.
• Track SLA performance and ensure uptime, latency, and response targets are met.
• Approve and supervise planned maintenance, upgrades and network changes.
• Maintain logs, incident reports, shift summaries, and performance dashboards.
• Drive process improvements to optimize workflows and monitoring practices.
