Job summary

Transaction Network Services (TNS) seeks an experienced NOC Supervisor to lead daily NOC operations in Reston, VA, ensuring effective monitoring, incident response, and customer support across critical services. You will mentor staff, manage escalations, and drive performance improvements across the team.

The role requires strong leadership, deep technical knowledge of IPX/Sigtran, BGP peering, VPNs, and monitoring tools, with a focus on high-quality customer experience and reliable network

Qualifications

• Experience with IPX networks and signaling (Sigtran).
• Proficient in BGP routing and peering.
• Knowledge of VPN technologies and network interconnects.
• Strong leadership and team management experience.
• Experience in incident management and escalation handling.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise NOC technicians and engineers across shifts.
• Coordinate staff scheduling, workload, and performance oversight.
• Provide escalation guidance for complex technical issues.
• Lead major incident bridges as Incident Manager and drive root cause resolution.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to restore services quickly and efficiently.
• Produce incident reports and internal communications.
• Oversee trouble ticket lifecycle and ensure timely resolution.
• Handle internal and customer escalations with urgency and professionalism.
• Maintain documentation standards for tickets and communications.
• Ensure effective use of monitoring tools and maintain network health awareness.
• Drive improvements to monitoring capabilities and processes.
• Serve as SME in network technologies (IPX, Sigtran, BGP, VPNs).
• Maintain centralized documentation repositories for NOC use.
• Train staff on troubleshooting, tools, and procedures.
• Develop programs to support new technologies and customer integrations.
